Trumpf expands production in Taicang
German high-tech firm Trumpf Group held an inauguration ceremony for the expansion of its fiber laser production base at its China headquarters in Taicang, Jiangsu province.
The company has poured 14 million yuan ($1.96 million) into the project, which will be used to ramp up the localized production of core models of high-power fiber lasers. The production line area is planned to expand by up to 83 percent, with the production workforce growing by over 40 percent.
This project is set to accelerate Taicang's transformation into Trumpf's largest global production base for optical modules.
Christian Blaich, CEO of Trumpf, lauded the Taicang plant's development, emphasizing that this expansion represents both a commitment to Trumpf (China) Co and a pivotal investment in the group's global blueprint.
