E.G.O. Group celebrates centennial milestone in Taicang
E.G.O. Group, a leading supplier to top household appliance manufacturers worldwide, marked its 100th anniversary in Taicang on June 4. Dr Karlheinz Hörsting, CEO of E.G.O. Group, led a delegation to visit.
Founded in 1924 in Oberderdingen, Germany, E.G.O. Group revolutionized home cooking with its first mass-produced electric stove. Today, the group operates 23 production and sales facilities across 19 countries, with 6,000 employees worldwide.
In 2012, E.G.O Group established its presence in China by launching E.G.O Components (China) Co, one of its fully-owned subsidiaries, in Taicang. The facility serves as its sole Chinese production base and Asia-Pacific headquarters.
The Taicang plant has developed world-class heating, control, conversion and connection technologies. It has also debuted the world's first induction module that has passed Ki certification testing. In 2024, the plant achieved an output of over 700 million yuan ($97.46 million) and contributed 15 million yuan in taxes.
Dr Karlheinz Hörsting expressed his gratitude for Taicang's strong support for E.G.O. Group, praising the city as a fertile ground for enterprises to grow. He also conveyed his confidence that the group would achieve even greater success and long-term development in Taicang.
