Taicang bonsai shines at Osaka expo

Invited by the Nippo Bonsai Association, the Xilu Bonsai Garden in Taicang, East China's Jiangsu province, is displaying three of its bonsai masterpieces at the Bonsai and Suiseki Exhibition of the ongoing Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, from May 19 to 22.

The exhibited works are considered to represent the pinnacle of bonsai artistry and embody the aesthetic essence of traditional Chinese landscape paintings.

The art of bonsai originated in China and has a history of over 1,300 years, dating back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Taicang gardens and bonsai works gained popularity during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).

Founded in 2012, the Xilu Bonsai Garden is home to more than 3,000 stunning bonsais from home and abroad and has won widespread acclaim within the industry.

With the Xilu Bonsai Garden as its core, Taicang has developed a range of exceptional bonsai industrial carriers in recent years, drawing distinguished bonsai masters from home and aboard. It has developed the bonsai artistry into a characteristic cultural industry.
