After eight years of research and development and an investment of over 80 million yuan ($11.01 million), Suzhou Greentech Co, an automotive interior manufacturer in Taicang, has successfully developed lightweight and recyclable thermoplastic olefin (TPO) materials with low volatile organic compound emissions.

These materials, mostly used for automotive instrument panels, have passed extreme environment tests conducted by renowned automotive brands such as Land Rover and Toyota, making Greentech the first in China to master this technology.

In 2024, Greentech was recognized as a national manufacturing champion, becoming the first company in Taicang to receive this prestigious honor. The company is advancing its fourth-phase project, which showcases its commitment to enhancing production capacity and researching recyclable bio-based materials.

Greentech's growth is the result of the comprehensive support offered by Taicang, which includes land allocation, equipment leasing, and expedited approval processes for its projects. In addition, over 300 of the company's employees benefit from housing allowances and education support for their children.
