Taicang steals the show at 'AI+' innovation conference

Jiangsu Zero One Automotive Technology Co, a rising player in heavy-duty trucks, featured its "AI+Transportation" large-scale model at the event. The company is advancing its vehicle intelligence platform for autonomous driving, aiming to commercialize road operations through the utilization of end-to-end autonomous driving systems based on large-scale models.
Taicang has seen a booming "AI+" sector in 2024, with nearly 150 related enterprises and a total industrial scale worth of over 20 billion yuan ($2.75 billion).
The burgeoning "AI+" industry is fueling innovative advancements, with top-tier institutions like the Taicang Campus of Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University bolstering their efforts to cultivate high-caliber AI talent.
This sector is also boosting the intelligent economy. Prominent platforms such as Alibaba and Douyin (the Chinese equivalent of TikTok), among others, have established a presence at the city's VNET Data Center.
By 2027, Taicang aims to achieve an AI-related industrial scale exceeding 30 billion yuan, establishing itself as a hub of AI innovation and integration.
