Taicang, a county-level city of Suzhou, Jiangsu province, is home to over 500 German enterprises, earning it the moniker "hometown of German enterprises". The renowned host Xu Qinduo recently visited Taicang to uncover the secrets behind its successful cooperation with Germany.

When asked why they chose Taicang as a base for their businesses, representatives from local German enterprises emphasized the city's strategic geographical location. Taicang is conveniently situated near major cities like Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing, and Hangzhou, making it an attractive choice for business operations.

Another key factor contributing to their decision was Taicang's favorable business environment. The local government is known for its supportive stance, actively implementing policies that benefit companies operating in the city.

During his visit, Xu met with Erwin Gerber, owner of the popular German bakery Brotecke. Established in Taicang in 2012, the bakery has gained widespread popularity across China. Gerber even regards Taicang as his true hometown.

Taicang's successful collaboration with Germany exemplifies China's pursuit of win-win cooperation on the global stage, reflecting the nation's commitment to ongoing reform and opening-up.
