Walking in Jiangnan: Joint exhibition held in Taicang, Kunshan, Jiading
From Sept 3 to Oct 10, a joint literature exhibition highlighting the history of essential bridges and rivers in Taicang and Kunshan ― both county-level cities of Suzhou, Jiangsu province ― and Jiading district in Shanghai, is currently taking place in the three locations.
Taicang, Kunshan, and Jiading are geographically adjacent, nestled in the culturally rich Jiangnan region, or south of the Yangtze River's lower reaches, collectively embodying this historic area's profound cultural heritage.
Visitors can explore two sections dedicated to Jiangnan rivers and ancient bridges within each exhibition site. A total of six significant local rivers and 17 ancient bridges are on display.
