Taicang continued to lead in both the number and investment scale of major provincial and Suzhou municipal-level projects. By mid-2024, the city was home to 1,362 industrial enterprises above the designated size.

Looking ahead to the third quarter of 2024, Taicang plans to further support the development of foreign trade and foreign-invested enterprises, expand the scale of cross-border e-commerce and digital commerce, encourage foreign enterprises to increase investment, and promptly address the difficulties and demands of enterprises.

In addition, the city will focus on enhancing the consumer market, improving consumer experiences, and promoting the tourism industry.
