A delegation from Taicang, a county-level city in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, recently visited Japan to promote the city's business environment and attract more investment.

The first stop of the delegation's trip was Tokyo, where four promotional activities were held.

Among them was an event for the Taicang High-Tech Zone on June 10, which was attended by more than 30 representatives from Japanese companies, associations and banks.

Xu Yuejin, president of Asahikoushin, or AKS, mentioned in his speech that Taicang boasts distinct industrial advantages, an excellent business environment, and a rapid urbanization process. According to Xu, over the course of nearly two decades, the company's operational performance has seen steady annual growth.

The delegation also signed cooperation agreements with AKS on the establishment of the company's China headquarters and strategic cooperation in real estate.

Additionally, Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc and the delegation held a licensing ceremony to grant the entertainment brand VS Challenge under Bandai Namco to the Rothenburg Waterfront Street in Taicang.
