Nearly 20 years ago, Mwamaka Sharifu, a Kenyan girl, traveled to China to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. Now, she returns again to Taicang, Suzhou city, Jiangsu province, to seek professional assistance and inspiration as she plans to open a TCM clinic in Kenya. Thanks to the long-standing friendship between China and Kenya and opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative, Mwamaka Sharifu's life has been transformed and is ushering in a new adventure.
