The number of German enterprises in Taicang, a city in Suzhou, Jiangsu province reached 500 in the early months of this year, underscoring the city's three-decade commitment to collaboration with Germany.

On one hand, existing German businesses in Taicang continue to thrive and expand rapidly, while on the other hand, new projects from additional German companies are establishing their business presence in the city.

For example, Zollner (Taicang) Electronics Co Ltd inaugurated its Phase II facility just four months ago. "After the commencement of Phase II, overall order volume has seen significant growth, and the additional space reserved in the Phase II plant sets the stage for future capacity expansion," said Qian Yun, the company's general manager.

As an investment by the German Zollner Group in China, the Zollner Ticang's Phase II facility will facilitate the company's growth in the precision equipment manufacturing sector, including aerospace, semiconductors, and railways.

In addition, 14 German-funded projects, such as the expansion of Krones Machinery and the investment for establishing Huber & Ranner's Asia-Pacific headquarters, alongside the registration and establishment of 25 new German-funded projects, showcase the upward trajectory of German enterprises' investments in Taicang.

The influx of more German enterprises is continually driving Taicang to enhance its service standards for these businesses. Over the past year, the service ecosystem for German enterprises in Taicang has seen a significant improvement.

Facilities like the Public Security SEE German Enterprise Service Station, the Sino-German Judicial Cooperation Service Workstation, and the Sino-German Standardization Cooperation Innovation Center have been established and put into operation.

Additionally, construction of the Sino-German Dual Vocational Education Industrial Park in Taicang is accelerating in response to the demand for skilled talent from German enterprises. The park aims to create a one-stop service platform for precise matching of talent among industries, enterprises, and the educational sector, promoting the industrialization of dual vocational education services and industries.
