New talent community project breaks ground in Taicang
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Suzhou Lingang-Zhidi talent community project took place in the Taicang Port Area on Feb 19.
Spanning an area of 7.2 hectares with a total investment of about 2.2 billion yuan ($305.64 million), the project boasts a total construction area of 218,600 square meters and accommodates over 1,400 housing units. It stands out as the largest investment among the existing and ongoing talent communities in the city, also covers the most substantial area, and offering the highest number of apartments.
Upon completion, the community will provide additional integrated services for residents, meeting diverse needs such as living, innovation and entrepreneurship, social interactions, and cultural consumption.
Functioning as an all-in-one talent community that integrates residential, sports and leisure, and commercial spaces, the project aims to become a striking new landmark in the port area.
In recent years, the port area has consistently emphasized the pivotal role of talent and strengthened talent housing guarantees. Projects like the Jingying Apartments and Binjiang Talent Apartments are already in operation.
Looking ahead, the port area will continue to optimize the living environment for talents, aiming to attract more talents to thrive and contribute to the development of the port area.
