Aerospace industry thrives in Taicang

In recent years, Taicang, a city in Suzhou, Jiangsu province has become a hub for the aerospace industry, attracting numerous aviation-related enterprises.

The city is currently home to over 100 companies engaged in various aspects of the aerospace industry, including aviation components, precision manufacturing, new materials, and aviation services.

Among the enterprises gaining strong momentum is ReliaChina Technology Co Ltd, which is deeply involved in the development of the display system for the C919 – China's first jetliner designed according to international airworthiness standards with independent intellectual property rights.

Another success story is Jiangsu Dianshi Aerospace Technology Co Ltd, which conducted the maiden flight of the first domestically developed 550-kilogram thrust-level turbofan engine.

In addition to local companies, numerous German enterprises, including Schaeffler and Zollner, have flourished in Taicang, contributing to the aerospace industry with their advanced technological foundations.

Taicang has also implemented supportive policies for the aerospace industry and talent development, including the construction of a specialized industrial park spanning over 4,000 mu (266.67 hectares) to attract more enterprises.

To date, Taicang has attracted 86 high-quality aerospace projects to operate in the city, with 114 companies being selected for the Suzhou aerospace industry preferred incubation hub.
