The Taicang Alps International Resort in Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province, is set to open to the public on Oct 29, according to local media reports.
The resort features three main areas: the Alps Snow World, the Club Med Mediterranean Resort, and the Alps TimeScape.
The Alps Snow World is one of the largest indoor skiing facilities in the East China region and is divided into warm and cold zones. In the warm zone focuses on information, dining, leisure, and storage, providing not only the opportunity to savor international cuisine but also to purchase skiing equipment and souvenirs.
The cold zone is further divided into a skiing area and a snow entertainment area. It is equipped with five snow trails of varying slopes, the longest one reaching 280 meters, and seven conveyor belts running simultaneously.
Moreover, there are nearly a hundred professional skiing instructors available for guidance. The area is thus good for children, novice skiers, and advanced skiing enthusiasts. The snow entertainment area offers more than 10 activities and three stage shows.
The Club Med hotel offers 307 rooms, along with an international buffet and a rooftop bar. It provides basic dining options, a mini club for childcare services, and sports facilities for spinning, yoga and more
The resort will play a key role in propelling the city's cultural and tourism industry to new heights.
