The construction of an intelligent manufacturing industrial park in Huangjing town, Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province, is underway.
The 176-mu (11.73 hectares) industrial park, which will cost one billion yuan ($138.31 million) to build, will provide supporting facilities for industries such as new energy, healthcare, auto spare parts, precision machinery, aerospace and electronic information.
The industrial park will be put into operation in 2025 and 10 projects related to new materials, high-end equipment, and precision machinery have been secured to establish company presences in the park.
The industrial park provides a glimpse into the town's efforts to advance industrial transformation and upgrading in recent years.
The town has also taken other actions, including eliminating outdated production capacity so as to provide more space and land for high-end equipment manufacturing and digital industries, and expediting construction of major infrastructure projects such as the Haimen-Taicang Tunnel to bolster its intelligent manufacturing industry.
The town signed deals for six major projects in the first half of this year and three of them have an investment of more than one billion yuan each.
