Rothenburg Street in Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province, is a German-style business area.

The street, which features German elements such as the Maritim Hotel, the Bayern soccer experience center, the 1886 Restaurant & Bar, and a German bakery, offers a glimpse into Taicang's cooperation with Germany over the past 30 years.

Dubbed "home to German enterprises in China", Taicang has been making efforts to strengthen cultural exchanges with Germany. The street is an emblem of cultural cooperation between the two sides.

In addition to catering, accommodation, shopping, culture and sports facilities, a series of cultural events including a beer festival, is held regularly in the street.

Richard Evans, general manager of the Taicang Maritim Hotel, who has lived in China for 25 years, said the street provides a fantastic German life scene.
