Zhenghe Park to reopen

Zhenghe Park in Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province, will reopen to the public at the end of July, according to local media reports.
The park is undergoing renovations and upgrading, with facilities for barbecue and fishing, a convenience store, restaurants, cafes, and teahouses.

A viewing stand has also been built and the Zhenghe Memorial House is undergoing renovations. The renovated memorial house will showcase the history and culture of Zhenghe's voyage achievements by modern technologies.
Named after the famous sailor Zhenghe from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the 122-hectare park opened to the public in 2008 and is a great place to take in views of the Yangtze River.
