Authorities in Shaxi town, Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province, have since the beginning of this year been focusing on bolstering the town's digital economy by advancing in-depth integration of its industrial, supply, innovation and value chains.
The town's high-end equipment enterprises are undergoing digital transformation and intelligent upgrading, and it is currently home to a provincial intelligent manufacturing service agency, two provincial demonstration intelligent workshops, four national industrial internet pilot demonstration projects, and 70 provincial cloud-native enterprises.
Taicang Yiben Mold Co, which is engaged in research, development, production, sales and service of automotive seals, has introduced the world's most advanced precision machining flexible manufacturing system that enables it to operate 24 hours a day.
This was largely due to the local government's support in terms of operation, scientific research and development and marketing.
A local official said that authorities have been focusing on major areas such as intelligent equipment application, equipment interconnectivity and intelligent logistics warehousing to help enterprises undergo digital transformation.
Authorities will also channel more resources toward building more intelligent workshops, intelligent factories, and cloud-native enterprises, as well as toward expediting the promotion and application of digital technologies, laying a solid foundation for the town's high-quality development.
The town aims to complete 20 digital transformation projects, and 30 intelligent upgrading projects and establish 21 provincial cloud-native enterprises this year.
