Wang Xiangyuan, Party secretary of Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province, met with Sandy Ko, Nike vice-president, on May 28.

Wang outlined Taicang's geographical location and transportation infrastructure at the meeting, noting that Taicang is currently home to numerous American enterprises including Nike, Sketchers, Exxon Mobil and Zippo, as well as more than 480 German enterprises.

He expressed hope that Nike will expand cooperation with Taicang in sustainable development.

Ko spoke highly of Taicang's business environment at the meeting, and pointed out that Nike has invested more than $500 million in the city in recent years.

Nike has established its China logistics center and Asia's largest smart warehousing facilities in the city, building two distributed wind turbines with a capacity of three megawatt this year, according to Ko.

Both sides exchanged ideas on deepening cooperation between government departments and enterprises, as well as promoting the city's sustainable development during the meeting.
