Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province, launched a promotional event at Hannover Messe 2023 in Hannover, Germany, from April 17 to 21.

Matthias Müller, president of the Taicang investment office in Germany, outlined the achievements of the city's Sino-German cooperation, as well as its social and economic progress over the past three decades, at the fair.

More than 300 investors and some representatives of Taicang's German enterprises including Scheffler and Bosch attended the event.

Taicang is currently home to 478 German enterprises, and this is largely due to efforts by Taicang authorities to create a German-style living environment, including holding a beer festival every year and opening the Bayern soccer school.

Dubbed a barometer of the world's industrial trade, the fair attracted more than 4,000 enterprises from around the world.
