6 Taicang scenic spots offer free entry during Spring Festival holiday

Six tourist attractions in Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province will offer free entry to visitors during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, which will run from Jan 21 to 27, according to the authorities.
The scenic attractions are Shaxi ancient town, Taicang Modern Agricultural Park, Nanyuan Park, Yanshan Park, Jiancang Lake Park as well as Zhenghe Park.
Shaxi ancient town
A national 4A scenic area, this town has a history of more than 1,300 years and features buildings of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).
Taicang Modern Agricultural Park
The 8,000-mu (533.33 hectares) agricultural park, which features ecology and science, is another national 4A scenic spot in Taicang.
Nanyuan Park
Situated in downtown Taicang, the Nanyuan Park is renowned for its layout and pavilions.
Yanshan Park
A national 3A scenic spot, the Yanshan Park has classic gardens and modern entertainment amenities.
Jincang Lake Park
Dubbed "Taicang's green lungs", the ecological park is a popular leisure destination among locals.
Zhenghe Park
Named after the famous sailor Zhenghe from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the park is a great place to take in views of the Yangtze River.
