Autumn is a good season to enjoy idyllic sceneries in the countryside. Here are some of the best rural tourism destinations in Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province. 

Fuqiao town 

Fuqiao town features Zheng He Park, Qiputang Ecological Park and two ancient villages. 

Visitors can admire the stunning views of the Yangtze River in Zheng He Park, which is named after the most famous maritime explorer in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Zheng He had led a team to set sail to the Atlantic from a port located near the park for seven times. 

Tourists can enjoy a natural ecological landscape in the Qiputang Ecological Park that is situated near the Zheng He Park. 

Visitors can go to Fangjiaqiao and Sanjiashi ancient villages to experience the charismatic waters, bridges and picturesque views of Jiangnan, a region south of the Yangtze River. They can also taste the local delicacies. 

Chengxiang town 

Visitors can take a sightseeing train that runs across rice paddies to enjoy an idyllic view in Donglin village of Chengxiang town. 

Tourists can enjoy the fun of fishing in the Dulou Xiaohai Ecological Agricultural Park in Yongfeng village of the town.
