A camping event was held on June 18 at a wetland park in Shaxi town, Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province.

The event, which featured music and local delicacies, is part of efforts by local authorities to develop the nighttime economy and promote the integration of agriculture, culture and tourism.

To date, the town has attracted six cultural and tourism projects, each with an investment of more than 100 million yuan ($14.9 million).

Three of these projects, including a campsite and a go-karting venue, are expected to be put into operation this year.
