Creative studio LINE FRIENDS and rural tourism service provider Xband recently announced that they would develop a camping village in Taicang, East China's Jiangsu province.

The resort will be located at Xiangtang village in Shaxi town and feature sticker characters BROWN & FRIENDS.

The resort will introduce new story lines of beloved characters including Brown, Cony, and Sally to Taicang's local tourism resources.

More details on the joint venture will be released in the first half of this year.

LINE FRIENDS rose to popularity with the BROWN & FRIENDS series designed for leading mobile messenger app LINE, which has 200 million active users worldwide.

The creative studio has partnered companies including Netflix and Tencent to promote their characters.
