The 16th Taicang Beer Festival was held at the Taicang Software Park from Sept 23 to 25, attracting German expats from Suzhou and Shanghai.

At the opening ceremony, local government officials said that Taicang houses many German companies, and the beer festival, which has been held for 16 years, has become a classic event for Sino-German cultural exchanges.

To date, there are 395 German companies in Taicang that have brought in over $5 billion in investments. These businesses are generating an annual industrial output of more than 50 billion yuan ($7.25 billion).
