VR show at Shanghai train station offers close look at Taicang
A virtual reality show is being held at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to give visitors a closer look at Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province.
The show is part of an exhibition aimed at promoting the city. Visitors can wear VR glasses to experience the city themselves.
"I feel that it is worthwhile to go to the city for a visit based on the virtual experience," said a traveler named Wu Yongqiang from Anhui province.
"I often go on business trips to Shanghai. The exhibition told me that the train station next is Taicang Railway Station. They are quite close," he added.

An increasing number of businesspeople have traveled between Shanghai and Taicang following the start of operations of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway last year.
Taicang is pressing ahead with its ambitious investment plans as it is now building the Taicang branches of Northwestern Polytechnical University and Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Ruijin Hospital, the Taicang Exhibition and Convention Center, as well as Taicang Sports Center.
Organizers said that they hope more people will get a better understanding of Taicang through the exhibition.
The exhibition, which is expected to draw the attention of more than 100,000 visitors, will last until late May. A variety of activities will also be held to showcase more Taicang elements.
