Market entities in Taicang reach 111,366

Taicang, a county-level city in Suzhou, saw a steady growth in the number of market entities in July, according to statistics released by the municipal market regulation bureau.
Over the past month, Taicang registered 489 new private companies, a year-on-year rise of 41 percent. The newly-added registered capital of the new private companies was 4.19 billion yuan ($602.64 million), an increase of 65 percent compared to the same period last year.
Taicang registered 1,009 new individual businesses in July, a year-on-year growth of 9 percent. These businesses had a combined registered capital of 95 million yuan, a year-on-year growth of 18 percent.
By July, Taicang had 111,366 private companies and individual businesses boosting the private economy in the county-level city.
The Taicang administrative approval bureau opened a green channel in July to allow shops situated in the Taicang Station and South Taicang Stations – both of which are located along the newly-operated Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway - obtain business licenses quickly.
The past month also saw the founding of six new limited partnerships, which attracted 182 million yuan in investment, 2.3 times more than the same period of last year. Five limited partnerships expanded their share capital to bring in more funds.
