Taicang, a city in East China's Jiangsu province, is stimulating its nighttime economy with night fairs on weekends and themed activities at theaters and museums.
Night fairs are being held at Nanyang Plaza, Wanda Square, and the Taicang RT Mart. A number of bars, museums, bookstores, and vendors have joined in the festivities by extending their business hours and providing special offers.
The night fair at Nanyang Square started on July 31 and will run until Nov 1. People can enjoy the delicious food from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm every Friday to Sunday.
People can also visit Wanda Square to participate in the "Loucheng Night" festival, where they can buy food and small commodities. The event will run until Nov 11 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm every Friday to Sunday.
Night markets at RT-Mart are also attractive as various coupons are available on WeChat.
The Story of Xishan, produced by the Beijing People's Art Theatre, will be performed at the Taicang Grand Theatre on Sept 11. Taicang Library is hosting various exhibitions and lectures, while Taicang Museum has extended its hours to 8:30 pm every Friday and Saturday.
