Taicang, a county-level city in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, has completed construction on 811 5G base stations, local media reported on July 24.

According to the municipal industry information bureau, in 2019 alone, the city has built 508 new base stations. They are distributed throughout the downtown area, Taicang Port, various counties, industrial parks, as well as most business complexes.

The city is also home to many 5G products, including the small base stations developed by T&W Electronics, the 5G equipment cooling system developed by Beehe Electric, the mobile phone cooling unit by Huaying Electronics, and the equipment cabinets developed by SIP Machinery Technology.

A spokesperson for the bureau said the locally developed applications are injecting new momentum into the city's industrial network and intelligent port logistics.

They are now essential facilities for any city looking to improve its business and living environment.
