Villagers in Yalu enjoy higher living standards
Yalu village is located in northwestern Huangjing town, Taicang and has an area of 6.8 square kilometers. In 2015, the combined income of village residents was 12.25 million yuan ($1.76 million), seven times higher than in 2006.

"We must thank Yalu Group and the village for the improvement in our lives," said Wu Huiguo, the founder of a clothing company. His sells his clothing mainly to Yalu Group. In 2006, he produced 20 million yuan worth of clothing products.
There are more than 60 similar private companies in Yalu, leading villagers to prosperity.
As an important agricultural development area of Huangjing, Yalu village is striving to develop high-quality farmland and is focusing on growing rice, vegetables, and fruits.

In early July, Yalu village improved its rice planting and duck raising techniques, and introduced 2,000 laying ducks. More than 80 mu (5.33 hectares) of agricultural land are planned for development.
The village has also developed a fully mechanized rice industry chain, and has introduced some unique guesthouses.
In 2017, Yalu Village began leading the development of a credit score system for families. In the first round of assessment, more than 1,000 village families met the requirements of a two-star family, while 13 were rated as five-star civilized families.
