Culture carnival kicks off in Taicang Wanda Plaza

A culture carnival themed around Taicang's intangible cultural heritages recently opened at the city's Wanda Plaza, local media outlets reported on June 29.

The carnival includes live shows presented by inheritors of intangible cultural heritages, sales of traditional art crafts and local delicacies, as well as talent shows of local communities.

According to local authorities, this year's carnival features interactions between intangible cultural heritage inheritors and visitors. Products and craft skills of 30 intangible heritage items are available for participants to experience, learn, and purchase.

With its unique and well-endowed cultural and sports resources, the county-level city has been labeled the home of bridge (cards), martial arts, lion and dragon dance, classical music, as well as folk music and dancing, he added.
