Septodont to open plant in Taicang

French pharmaceutical and dentistry company Septodont will launch a $200 million project in Taicang, Jiangsu province, according to a signing ceremony held in Beijing on Nov 7.
The project will cover an area of 50 mu (3.33 hectares) and focus on the development, manufacturing and distribution of a wide range of high quality dental products.
It is expected to produce over 450 million anesthetic cartridges and exceed an output of over 1 billion yuan ($144 million).
Speaking at the ceremony, Shen Mi, Party secretary of Taicang, promised the city will offer its best services to Septodont and work together for shared prosperity.
Biological medicine is a key part of Taicang's industrial development strategy. The city has been forming a cluster of biomedical enterprises in Taicang Biomedicine Industrial Park and Taicang Biological Bay.
Since its inception in 1932, Septodont has been committed to developing and distributing high quality dental products, including anesthetic cartridges, topical gels, dental needles, and innovative restorative solutions.
The company boasts 12 manufacturing and R&D plants in France, North America and India, and an international distribution network which serves the needs of dental professionals in more than 150 countries.
