Taicang e-sports teams win big at WCG

At the long anticipated 2019 WCG finals, seven e-sports clubs from Taicang, Jiangsu province brought home two championships and two runner-up finishes, local media reported on July 23.
SV Gaming and AG E-sports Club, both from Taicang Tianjinghu E-sports Town, met against each other in the final of CrossFire, a popular first-person shooter game released by Tencent.
The game's PC version has attracted 560 million registered users and its e-sports broadcasts have been viewed 10 billion times over the past decade.

As of the end of June, Taicang Tianjinghu E-Sports Town has registered 68 gaming companies. Their business scope covers competition organizing, show production, club management, and game development.
The town is home to four e-sports clubs, 15 teams, and over 2,000 e-sports professionals, including Li Xiaofeng, better known as "Sky," a Warcraft III legend and the first Chinese player to win a WCG title.
