Taicang promotes itself to Japanese investors in Tokyo

A delegation from Taicang, Jiangsu province held an investment promotion conference in Tokyo, Japan on July 19.

The conference attracted more than 100 renowned Japanese enterprises and groups, including Mizuho Bank, Tamagawa Seiki, and Mitsui E&S Group.

Representatives from Tamagawa Seiki and Mitsui E&S Group shared their experience of investing in Taicang.

The conference was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Japan, Japan's Association for the Promotion of International Trade, and other Japanese economic associations.

Japan is the third biggest business partner of Taicang. To date, more than 170 Japanese enterprises have come to the city, forging several industrial clusters.

The city's automobile manufacturers include Honda Motor and Toyota Tsusho. Its high-end equipment sector includes Komatsu. Its new materials sectors include Sojitz Group and Nippon Steel, while its service industry boasts Nitori, Itochu Corporation, and Sekisui House.
