Jorg Rosskopf, head coach of the national table tennis team in Germany, led 11 teams to the fourth China-Germany Table Tennis Invitational Tournament held in Taicang, Jiangsu province on May 18.
Rosskopf, together with Lu Yuansheng, former vice-chairman of the Chinese Table Tennis Association, served the first ping pong ball to kick off the tournament.
Rosskopf was happy to attend the competition in Taicang and said that Taicang is a beautiful city.
In addition to the German teams, the competition also welcomed 11 Chinese counterparts from local table tennis associations and clubs, including the Taicang Table Tennis Association, the Shanghai German Center, and the Taiwan Jinmen Table Tennis Committee.
Taicang has hosted the "China Germany Friendship Cup" International Table Tennis Invitational Tournament for three years since 2016, with the exception of 2018, when the tournament was moved to the city of Ingolstadt in Germany at the invitation of the German Center and Bavaria Table Tennis Association of Germany.
