There was a 20 odd year old Uygur girl suffering from serious illness and doctors from a hospital in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, suggested her parents to give up on her. However, when they heard about a doctor in Atushen who may be able to rescue their daughter, they decided to ask for help from Zhu.

After Zhu's treatment, the Uygur girl was temporarily pulled out of danger and prolonged her life for one more month. Her parents are very grateful to the Taicang doctor for his help.

Zhu also performed the first fistulation in the city, rescuing a local resident from sudden cardiac arrest.

After such a surgery, attentive nursing is far more important than the surgery itself and nurses at Atushen hospitals are inexperienced in treating critical patients.

Therefore, Zhu showed them how to nurse the patient. He looked after the patient for three days with no rest until his trachea cannula was removed and all his vital signs were normal.
