An exhibition is being held at Jiangsu Art Museum in the province's capital Nanjing to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of renowned Taicang painter Song Wenzhi from.
The exhibition includes two parts. The first part chronogically showcases Song's works, and the second part displays the different styles of the Taicang native's works.
As a representative of New Jinling, one of China's most influential schools of painting, Song, who passed away in 1999, was always inspired by daily life and explored innovative forms of artistic expression, thus creating many techniques for Chinese brush painting.
