Taicang bonded zone dispatches 110,000 parcels in Jan-Nov

More then 110,000 parcels worth 20.89 million yuan ($3 million) were dispatched from Taicang port comprehensive bonded zone in Suzhou, Jiangsu province from January to November in 2018, local media reported on Jan 2.

The number of the dispatched parcels by the bonded zone accounts for half of that by the operators of cross-border e-commerce online purchase bonded import business in Jiangsu.

In January last year, Suzhou was approved as the pilot city to conduct cross-border e-commerce online purchase bonded import business.

The Taicang port comprehensive bonded zone used this opportunity to establish a 3,000-square meter cross-border e-commerce supervision center and public service platform.

The bonded zone also constructed an integrated e-commerce platform with Shanghai Chuyue E-commerce Co, attracting more than 30 e-commerce companies as of now.
