A delegation led by Qiu Zhongqiang, vice-president of Procter & Gamble Company, an American multi-national consumer goods corporation, recently visited Taicang, Jiangsu province.

The American company established a production and logistics base in Taicang in 2011.

Qiu briefly introduced P&G's operation in China and outlined its future development in the country during his meeting with Xu Zhiqian, deputy director of the management committee of the Taicang Port Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Xu said that the Taicang port area will continue to better serve its companies and hopes that P&G will make more contributions to the local economy.

Qiu was recently named an honorary citizen by the Taicang Municipal Government and will attend the award ceremony during this visit.
