Taicang identifies another 3 headquarter firms
Taicang's development and reform commission recently identified another three headquarter companies, bringing the number of such companies in the city to 27.
All the three newly-identified companies are foreign-invested manufacturing companies.
VAST China Co., Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the United States-based VAST LLC providing a full range of products and services including design, development and production for automotive original equipment manufacturers in China.
The Taicang subsidiary also serves as a nerve center of VAST LLC's management and decision making in China.
Gurit (Taicang) Co., Ltd is a subsidiary of the Switzerland-based Gurit Holding AG, a developer and innovator in the composites industry. The Taicang company is responsible for developing and producing blade moulds of wind turbine.
BorgWarner Auto Parts (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd is founded by BorgWarner Inc, an American worldwide automotive industry components and parts supplier. The subsidiary company will design and manufacture automobile power system components, including the turbocharger system.
In recent years, Taicang has focused on attracting headquarters of companies to the city to boost its local economy. In order to accelerate its development, the local government issued preferential policies last year to increase incentives and rewards for Taicang's headquarter companies.
A total of 3.13 million yuan ($454,000) has been rewarded to Ye Chiu Metal Recycling (China) Ltd, Krones Machinery (Taicang) Co., and Kern-Liebers (Taicang) Co., Ltd.
The three companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Malaysia-based Ye Chiu Group, German packaging and bottling machine manufacturer Krones AG and German Kern-Liebers Group respectively.
