Taicang and German have been carried out cooperationin fields such as high-end research and development, products upgrading and intelligent manufacturing. A total of 21 demonstrative intelligent factories of provincial level and city level were set up.

The forum also marked the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Taicang "Sino-German Enterprises Cooperation Base".

As the Sino-German cooperation model city, Taicang clustered many German companies, who have brought along over 400 private companies in the area to offer supporting service and achieved great development.

Private companies in Taicang were encouraged to carry out more cooperation with Germany to promote the transformation and upgrading of Taicang's manufacturing industry.
