Intl Chinese boxing match held in Taicang

The WLK International Chinese Boxing Match was held in Taicang on Oct 20.

Some of the top fighters from home and abroad participated in the match, including fighters from England, Poland, Russia, Thailand, Mongolia, Germany and Brazil.

China achieved good results by winning six rounds of the total nine rounds.

Chinese boxing is a part of Chinese martial arts, or kung fu, that have developed in China for over centuries, and the WLK match, established in 2016, is currently one of the domestic Chinese boxing events of the highest level and involving the best local fighters.

That day also witnessed the awarding ceremony of the Jiangsu Chinese Boxing (Taicang) Training Base, which is expected to play an important role in driving the development of the city's sports industry.
