The first self-service law firm in China was established in Taicang, East China's Jiangsu province on July 8, according to local media.

The newly-established law firm is a legal service center for the public composed of self-service terminals, which offers legal services regarding marriage, property, traffic accidents, contract arrearage, labor rights protection, company laws, intellectual rights and criminal laws.

These terminals are connected online to 8,800 lawyers nationwide, the most suitable of whom can be selected for consultations in just 30 seconds.

After registering with China's second-generation identity card, people can access the instant service offered by the legal service center and a remote video service is also available here.
