A German delegation led by the vice-chairman of the city council of Julich visited Taicang on May 9 to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese city in education.

Three pairs of schools from both cities have established friendly relationships during their visit: Julich's vocational college and Taicang Secondary Vocational School, Julich's gymnasium and Taicang Senior High School and Julich's girls' high school and Mingde Senior High School

Schools of the two cities will carry out regular exchanges among principals and teachers and also encourage their students to attend summer or winter camps, football games, cultural festivals and other activities in their new sister school.

Taicang established a friendly relationship with the German city during the Germany-Taicang Day activity held in May 2017.

Julich, a town in the district of Düren, in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, boasts beautiful scenery and rich educational resources.
