Huangjing Rice, named after a town in Taicang, received the national SC food production license recently.

The certificates replaced the old QS certificates at the beginning of October. QS stands for "Quality Standard" and is a certificate for commercial food production. SC is the initials of the of the Chinese word for "production".

At the modern agricultural park in Huangjing town, Taicang, automatic packing machines pack a bag of rice within 15 seconds. The machines can control the weight of each package, improve efficiency and save manpower.

The automated system can weigh, package and seal 120 bagsper hour. Only two workers are required in this process.

Bagged rice is stored in a freezer.

Workers' changing rooms, sterilization rooms, workshops, and freezer are all in compliance with the new SC standards.

According to Taicang Daily, the SC license allows Huangjing Rice to enter supermarkets and other retailing channels.
