Two industrial parks which are exclusive for German and Euro-American-funded enterprises are going to come into service by the end of this year, according to local media.

With the investment of 2 billion yuan ($318 million), the Chinese-German Advanced Manufacturing Technology Innovation Park covers an area of 318 mu (21 hectares), including 20 factories and eight office buildings.

All the 28 buildings are expected to seal their roofs atop the concrete and steel frames this August, according to the park's construction contractor.

Based on Taicang High-tech District's industrial base, the park will introduce advanced manufacturing and high-tech enterprises as well as their research institutes to grow into a demonstration base for the innovation cooperation between Chinese and German companies.

Another park, the Euro-American High-tech Industrial Park in Taicang port area is going to be completed by the end of this May, Li Yiran, head of the project's construction contractor, said.

Taicang port area now houses a group of Euro-American-funded enterprises and Fortune 500 firms, and the industrial park will gather these enterprises together to form into a complete industrial chain, according to head of the Taicang port area.

The project includes six factories and one complex building covering an area of 57,072 square meters, which are mainly for precision machinery manufacturing enterprises.
