Taicang witnessed the signing of 25 projects worth 13 billion yuan ($2 billion) at the 2018 Taicang Investment Attraction Conference held in southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, one of China's three financial centers on April 24.

The 25 projects involves intelligent equipment manufacturing, new materials, medical devices, logistics, headquarters economy, cultural tourism and other fields.

Taicang has always sought development by innovation, such as building a hub for technological innovation, cultivating outstanding innovative enterprises, and attracting high-profile startup talents.

In recent years, the city has also worked on issuing preferential policies to promote the development of emerging industries, private economy and high-tech industries.
