Supported by her open-minded parents, Lu started to buckle down and learn how to make cakes, but different ones from those sold in most of the cake shops in China. What she wanted to make was authentic French desserts.

To pursue her dream of becoming a French dessert master, Lu needed in the first place to learn from MOF French dessert masters. MOF, short for Meilleur Ouvrier de France (meaning best craftsman in France), is an award given to the best craftsman in professional contests and is known as the Nobel Prize of the handicraft industry.

As soon as she heard of an MOF master opening a class, she would immediately sign up for it, whether it was in Paris, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu or any other city.

After three years' hard learning, Lu opened her own dessert studio in her hometown which is now in trial operation.
