Part Two: from Tang Dynasty (618-907) to Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms (907-960)
Drinking tea is quite popular at Tang Dynasty, during which drinking tea was believed to be an elegant etiquette among Chinese court officials and literary men.
They were not only particular about the color, aroma and taste of the tea leaves, but also paid great attention to tea wares.
Therefore, there were various tea wares used for boiling and drinking tea, most of which were made out of gold and silver, including tea pot, tea diao (a small cooking pan with handles and spout), tea stove, tea leave grinder, tea ze (used to measure the required amount of tea leaves), tea cup, and tea bottle.
