The British guests also visited Taicang schools and experienced traditional Chinese culture, taking part in calligraphy, paper-cutting and martial arts activities, as well as getting the chance to play Chinese zither – a seven-stringed plucked instrument.

Taicang began conducting exchanges and cooperation with Wirral since 2008 and five years later, the two cities formed sister city relations.
